• There are multiple ways to do revisions—feedback loops between phases, small changes here and there, etc... it's something you can also negotiate with if the client doesn't have a big budget.

Ex: "Normally my rate is $100 higher than your budget, but since I really wanna do the project, we can take out some revision phases so I spend less time."

• RATES: You normalize my rates by going with a base price and then adding on based on time, depending on the project. example: $175 base price for one alert, then another $150 for a higher-tier variation + 5 colour swaps.
• REVISIONS: Always make sure you're covered in my base prices for the time it takes to do research, communicate with the client, take the lead on communicating my process, and revisions. After that is when you calculate time and skill.
• RENDERS: Video editors and motion designers should charge for render time! If you need to render something for over an hour, that's an hour of work you're missing out on if it has to be done on my computer.

FAQ Rates

Rates depend on your experience, ripping vods, Youtube management, thumbnail inclusion, etc. These are the standard rates (via. experience and the Candle Discord channel). Good guidelines.

Highlight Editors

Basic / Starting Rates: $40-50 per video (10 minutes) = if you're just starting off, working with smaller content creators.

Mid-Tier Edits: $50~100 per video (10 minutes) = usually shared video editing with other editors.

High-Tier: $150+ per video (10 minutes) = usually includes full Youtube management and thumbnail. Usually with content creators who have 100K+ subscribers.

Seen: $400+ per video (depends on content and Youtuber)
